Installation Step #1

Suggestion: Dig hole approximately 12 inches deep and 10 inches in diameter in the predetermined location. Fill the hole with concrete (requires 1 pre-mixed just add water #80 bag) to ground level and drive stake assembly into wet concrete. Reserve 1 inch clearance between the bottom of the triangular shear plate and concrete. Level triangular shear plate with post level (included) and allow concrete to cure before proceeding. Level is sufficient when the bubble is anywhere in the circle except lodged against the outer edge. Important note: The stake must be placed with the triangular shear plate parallel with the street and the pointed side facing away from the street. Have utilities located before digging!

Alternative Post Installation Method

Drive stake assembly into the ground using adequate hammer and periodically checking the level of the stake by placing the post level (included) on top of the triangular shear plate. Important notice: The stake must be placed with the triangular shear plate parallel with the street and the pointed side facing away from the street. If soil conditions are to sandy or loose to support the stake assembly then following instructions in step #1 is highly recommended.

Installation Step #2

Once the stake assembly is secured, attach post assembly to stake using three #10 stainless steel bolts and lock nuts.
